Non-dimmable LED Driver
What is PWM dimmer? Dec 17, 2020

LEDs can be dimmed in two ways: analog and pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming. PWM dimming has a frequency and a duty cycle. PWM dimming works by turning the LED on and off at a very high speed. The frequency determines the number of pulses per second of the LED, and the duty cycle determines the duration of the pulses. For the frequency happens so fast, human beings perceive a lower brightness from the LED.

Signals from PWM can only be turned on or off at any given time. This means that the led either receives all the voltage or does not receive power at all. This is different from analog dimming, which darkens the led by changing the output power. For example, triac pwm,a way dimmed by triac and given PWM functions.

Although analog dimming is very simple, it is not suitable for many applications. The advantage of PWM dimming is that it allows LED lights to be on for a shorter time. This helps to lower its internal temperature and potentially extend its life.

Smarts have various PWM output led drivers options. As for triac dimming mode, driver dimmable 48 w to 200w is available. As for 0-10v dimming mode, outdoor led driver 24v dimmable which listed by UL is available.
