How to calculate led driver efficiency conversion? Sep. 28,2020
1.How does the efficiency affect the dimmable power supply?

Answer: The higher the conversion efficiency, the higher the utilization rate of electric energy, which means that the power consumption is not so much; the higher the conversion efficiency, the lower the loss, and the less heat generated by the constant voltage led power supply.


For example:
Load 100W lights = output power,
The input power is 120W,
Efficiency=(output power/input power)*100
(100W÷120W)*100=83
Then the conversion efficiency of this power supply driver = 83%

2.When calculating the efficiency, it has nothing to do with the output voltage. Why is the efficiency of 12V and 24V different?

Answer: This is the law of physics. The higher the input voltage, the higher the conversion efficiency. The conversion efficiency is actually measured, so the data on the SMARTS specification is relatively standard.

3.What is the calculation formula of the power conversion rate?
Answer:  input power = input voltage * input current

Power conversion efficiency = output power/input power
